Plant Manager

The Plant Manager will plan, organize, staff, and direct all production activities of the facility to achieve Plant and Sector goals for safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement. This role leads production and plant operations to ensure the effective utilization of resources.

The work is on-site (5 days a week).

Responsibilities

• Supervise all plant production functions including Manufacturing, Materials, Production Control, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Planning, Human Resources, Manufacturing Engineering, and Environmental, Health & Safety to ensure alignment with plant goals.
• Guide and support the plant EH&S program in improvements, investigations, and corrective actions to meet and exceed Federal laws and Trane Technologies standards and policies.
• Guide and support the plant quality system utilizing procedures and controls to improve overall customer satisfaction, DPPM, first pass yield, and warranty results.
• Be proactive and responsive to all facets of customer satisfaction including delivery, schedule changes, and special instructions.
• Guide and support plant maintenance, facilities, production engineering, improvements, process improvements, facility improvements, and capital expenditures.
• Guide and support plant resources in meeting material and labor productivity plans.
• Maintain a positive rapport with all levels of the organization to foster and promote a diverse and inclusive work environment, high levels of morale, and high employee engagement.
• Collaborate with all levels of the organization to ensure alignment of goals and progress toward them, along with short-term and long-term needs and plans.
• Lead and support the development of production employees and plant succession planning activities.
• Oversee the payroll/timecards approval process.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing/plant operations leadership role, preferably as Plant Manager of a medium to small-sized non-union manufacturing plant.
• Experience with implementing Lean culture in a manufacturing environment; ability to lead and drive the OPEX (Operational Excellence) culture in the plant.
• Proficiency in Supply Chain Management.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills and advanced management skills.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.

Pay

Annual base salary range: $140,900.00 – $253,715.00. This is a salaried position and is not eligible for incentive or sales commission.

Actual compensation will depend on factors such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation.
