Key Responsibilities
- Manage the manufacturing and delivery of quality coatings safely, on time, efficiently, and within Pittsburgh Paints Company guidelines.
- Lead a clean, safe, cost-efficient production organization that is committed to a high level of first run capability and is responsive to changes in the marketplace.
- Evaluate equipment, facility, warehousing/distribution and process needs, and prepare capital authorizations to meet current and future needs.
- Develop and maintain, train and participate in management, a workforce that is motivated and committed to organizational objectives with effective utilization of staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with Chemical Engineering or Chemistry preferred.
- 10+ years of proven ability in Chemical Operations and Production Supervision.
- Fluent in DMAIC/DFLSS and Kaizen project execution—Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred.
- Strong determination for action and an ability to create and implement initiatives to drive performance improvement, providing examples of tangible results.
- History of continuous improvement and record of accomplishment.
