More information is available on our website https://www.sswtechnologies.com/ The Onsite Plant Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the plant operation, including production, maintenance, shipping and receiving and quality control. Responsibilities include plant optimization to ensure maximum production, quantity and quality. The Plant Manager oversees all plant operations and production by working directly with and providing leadership to managers in the following departments: Production, Maintenance, Lab and Grains. Employment for this position is conditioned upon successfully passing certain pre-employment requirements. Key Responsibilities: Perform all duties in a safe manner. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with Company policies. Interact in a professional manner with other employees/customers. Direct and manage plant operations to meet business targets for safety, delivery, production, maintenance, quality and shipping and receiving. Achieves business outcomes that complement the organization's ability to grow market segments. Direct administrative activities directly related to making products or providing services. Coordinate plant activities through the planning with plant personnel and management team to ensure all manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner. Develop and control profits, plans, and budget. Monitor suppliers to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed goods or services within budgetary limits. Review financial statements, sales or activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity or goal achievement or to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement. Implement cost effective systems or control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries. Manages capital asset maintenance. Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards. Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight and repair expenses. Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary. Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives. Fully implements the organization's quality & operations system (SSW PS 2.0). Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs. Incorporates shop floor organization and 5S as a way we do daily business. Provides direction, development and leadership to plant and supervisory personnel. Direct and manage all plant operations with overall responsibilities for safety, delivery, production, maintenance, quality and other production-related activities. Ensures increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials and machines. Position Supervised or Directed: Directs all employees of the plant (directly & indirectly) and oversees performance management and hiring of the employees within the plant. Directly manages all SSW Premier Salaried employees. Qualifications, Experience requirements: Bachelor’s degree is required, and master's degree is a plus 5 or more years of experience Experience in a Metal Manufacturing companies preferred. Prior production management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge and expertise in industrial safety, quality systems, and financial management of a similarly sized operation Knowledge of wire drawing, production welding, and the wire construction products market preferred. General requirements: Able to travel to other divisions when required. Availability to go to the division from Monday to Friday Detailed and hands-on oriented. Working Conditions: Office environment in a plant manufacturing environment. Frequently indoors. Occasionally exposed to high temperatures, loud noises and fumes.
