Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day plant operations with responsibility for safety, quality, productivity, and financial performance
- Drive production schedules and ensure customer commitments are met
- Analyze production metrics, downtime, and quality trends while implementing corrective actions
- Lead Lean Daily Management (LDM) meetings, Gemba walks, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop, coach, and evaluate production personnel while building a high-performing team
- Promote a strong safety culture through daily observations, training, and OSHA compliance
- Oversee quality initiatives, including 8D investigations, MRB activities, and ISO quality standards
- Monitor KPIs and present operational results during weekly and monthly leadership meetings
- Coordinate closely with maintenance, quality, scheduling, and shipping to maximize plant performance
- Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure operational excellence throughout the facility
Requirements
- Manufacturing leadership experience managing plant or production operations
- Experience leading supervisors and hourly production teams
- Strong background in production scheduling, quality systems, safety, and continuous improvement
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, Gemba, KPI management, and root cause analysis
- Experience conducting employee evaluations, coaching, and performance management
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and manufacturing safety programs
- Experience with ISO quality systems preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and manufacturing leadership experience
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and production scheduling systems
