Position Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all functional areas in a poultry processing plant including production, maintenance, safety, shipping, receiving, sanitation, scheduling, and quality.
- Oversee three production shifts to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and product output.
- Lead and mentor department managers to build strong leadership skills and workforce capability.
- Resolve issues related to product quality, incoming materials, and outgoing shipments.
- Review cost, performance, and efficiency data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Compile and analyze monthly expense and efficiency reports.
- Promote Total Quality Management (TQM) principles among plant employees.
- Approve and execute all plant-related capital improvement projects.
- Facilitate Talent Mapping, Succession Planning, and Retention Programs.
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety, product quality, and regulatory standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production and operational processes.
- Identify operational challenges and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve them.
- Maintain excellent communication within teams and with senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in poultry manufacturing (preferably Tray Pack operations).
- At least 6 years of leadership experience managing large or complex facilities.
- Experience working in unionized environments and leading union teams.
- Strong understanding of food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop new or junior leaders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar manufacturing systems.
