About the Role

Primarily responsible for ensuring that the company goals and objectives are met in a timely and accurate manner. This role focuses on building a positive company image, achieving safety and performance goals, training Production Supervisors, developing cost-control programs, maintaining linen quality, managing production costs, meeting inventory initiatives, and achieving employee turnover goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training and follow-up for department personnel to ensure job performance aligns with job descriptions.
  • Offer daily/weekly coaching to improve supervisor effectiveness.
  • Work with the HR Department to determine hiring, training, and employee improvement needs.
  • Assume responsibility for Production Supervisors in their absence.
  • Establish and approve PTO and leave schedules for Production Supervisors.
  • Support KPI goals for Supervisors in consultation with the General Manager.
  • Ensure employees are properly introduced to Company Objectives, Policies, and Safety Standards through Supervisors.
  • Ensure new employees receive proper training.
  • Recommend and support employee incentive programs that enhance production (PPOH) and reduce productive labor percentage.
  • Maintain familiarity with regulatory requirements for plant operations, including HLAC compliance.
  • Stay professionally updated on industry trends through plant visits, industry meetings, and relevant exposure.
  • Review production and goal performance records with Supervisors routinely throughout the week.
  • Establish production standards and SOPs for each job in the plant and measure performance against these standards daily.
  • Confer with sales, service, and office staff regarding production schedules, quality, and customer concerns.
  • Take corrective action based on customer surveys as necessary.
  • Notify and collaborate with the Maintenance Manager on needed equipment repairs in production and soil sort, maintaining written requests and follow-ups.
  • Ensure prompt and satisfactory responses to all customer concerns.
  • Oversee the warehouse area and manage inventory levels of all linens.
  • Verify safety and quality standards are met daily.
  • Maintain plant organization and cleanliness through proper 5S process management.
  • Provide accountability to produce consistent results at all levels of the organization.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate.
  • 3-5 years of related production experience.
  • Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Ability to fill in for production positions as needed.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
