Responsibilities

• Direct all manufacturing functions including production, engineering, mining, maintenance, and administrative functions.
• Plan for capital improvements and projects.
• Establish effective employee relations to ensure a well-trained and motivated workforce.
• Maintain a safe working environment with a focus on MSHA compliance and continuous improvement.
• Develop subordinates and manage operations to ensure quality output at minimum cost.
• Regularly interface with sales, marketing, and customer service to meet customers’ needs.
• Maintain production rates to optimize equipment and labor while managing costs.
• Oversee planning and execution to meet long-term goals and objectives.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• BS in a related technical or business field.
• Minimum of 10 years of management experience in an industry-related field.
• Experience in diverse functional roles and the ability to work independently.
• Strong leadership skills under pressure and a champion for change.
• Ability to manage and balance plant-wide production and maintenance needs.
• Strong customer focus for both internal and external customers.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a balance of analytical and creative thinking.
• Self-starter who seeks responsibility and works with minimal direction.
• Willingness to challenge conventional ideas and flexibility to function effectively in a team environment.
