Responsibilities
- Direct all manufacturing functions including production, engineering, mining, maintenance, and administrative functions.
- Plan for capital improvements and projects.
- Establish effective employee relations to ensure a well-trained and motivated workforce.
- Maintain a safe working environment with a focus on MSHA compliance and continuous improvement.
- Develop subordinates and manage operations to ensure quality output at minimum cost.
- Regularly interface with sales, marketing, and customer service to meet customers’ needs.
- Maintain production rates to optimize equipment and labor while managing costs.
- Oversee planning and execution to meet long-term goals and objectives.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- BS in a related technical or business field.
- Minimum of 10 years of management experience in an industry-related field.
- Experience in diverse functional roles and the ability to work independently.
- Strong leadership skills under pressure and a champion for change.
- Ability to manage and balance plant-wide production and maintenance needs.
- Strong customer focus for both internal and external customers.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a balance of analytical and creative thinking.
- Self-starter who seeks responsibility and works with minimal direction.
- Willingness to challenge conventional ideas and flexibility to function effectively in a team environment.
