Tasks
- Directs and coordinates activities of industrial organization to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits.
- Covers production costs and product quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division.
- Reviews operations of competing organizations and plans and directs sales program to develop new markets.
- Directs preparation of accounting records, recommends budgets to management, and plans, develops and implements organization policies and goals.
- Analyzes division or department budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made, and allocates operating budget.
- Directs preparation of directives to division or department administrator outlining policy, program, or operations changes to be implemented.
- Coordinates economic production in due time and in good quality.
- Representation of the plant within the Brose Group and outside.
- Develops the annual budget and resource planning and controls the observance of the plan.
- Participation in the middle- and long-term business planning of the Brose Group.
- Develops regulations for and ensures compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental procedures and is proactive in the development of a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least two years in a quality or production engineering role, plus 3 years leading a team.
- Project management and implementation of new products.
- Knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques gained within the automotive industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of production planning and control.
- Evidence of leadership and team building skills.
- Good communication / inter-personal skills.
