Plant Manager

About the Role

Plans, organizes, staffs, and directs all activities necessary to safely manufacture a quality product and ensure the efficient operation of the plant in Spartanburg, SC.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the profitable operation of the plant.
• Ensures all orders are completed within required quality, time, and cost parameters to customer satisfaction.
• Oversees all plant functions, including production, accounting, P&L, budget, quality control, customer service, and maintenance.
• Maintains a safe, environmentally sound work environment compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
• Develops a teamwork-based, customer-focused, and responsive workforce.
• Oversees quality systems, ISO, and OSHA compliance.
• Drives continuous improvement across all focus areas.
• Manages selection, training, development, and performance of plant employees.
• Ensures personnel actions align with written policies and comply with laws and regulations.
• Cultivates a positive work environment through effective employee relations.
• Develops manufacturing plans with operating and capital budgets.
• Structures and manages staff to achieve planned results.
• Communicates relevant information effectively to employees.
• Develops long-term strategic manufacturing plans for the plant.

Requirements

• Four-year degree or equivalent.
• 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of administrative and plant engineering functions.
• Familiarity with product requirements, planning, organizational techniques, labor and safety laws.
• Knowledge of TQM, ISO standards, and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong human relations and leadership skills.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) is beneficial.
