Plant Manager
About the role
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all plant operations, including the safe and compliant management of associate activities in the production and repackaging of compressed and liquid gases into cylinders. Key responsibilities include operating and maintaining plant machinery, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and managing production schedules.
Responsibilities
- Operate and safely maintain plant machinery for gas pumping and repackaging.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
- Maintain a clean and orderly plant environment.
- Analyze production schedules and adjust work procedures to meet production needs.
- Resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to prevent delays.
- Implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Optimize workflows and support associate well-being.
- Inspect machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Foster a culture of safety by enforcing safety rules and conducting regular training.
- Investigate and report all injuries and accidents within 24 hours.
- Assist associates in resolving work-related issues and roadblocks.
- Collaborate with HRBP on associate actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.
- Handle associate issues and grievances to enhance engagement.
- Support and develop subordinate supervisors to achieve goals.
- Provide coaching and corrective action to promote growth.
- Train new associates and provide cross-training.
- Manage time and production records accurately and submit paperwork on time.
- Analyze and utilize plant dashboards and financial reports to drive operational improvements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of related experience and/or training.
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Valid employment authorization in the U.S. and ability to work without visa sponsorship.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to become forklift certified.
- Good computer skills.
- Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets and other written communications.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years of related experience.
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience.

- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to become forklift certified.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexible and open to new ideas.
- Good people skills.
- Prior forklift experience preferred.
- Prior SAP experience preferred.
