About the role
The Plant Layout Designer is responsible for designing and optimizing the layout of manufacturing facilities to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop floor plans for manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with engineers, production managers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Use software tools to simulate plant layouts and analyze data for optimization
- Communicate design concepts and solutions to team members and clients
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in plant layout design or similar field
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and plant layout design tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
- Knowledge of industry-specific best practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
