Plant Laborer

About the role

The role is responsible for managing the university's sustainability initiatives and promoting environmental stewardship across all campus operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to reduce energy consumption and waste generation.
• Collaborate with various departments to integrate sustainable practices into their operations.
• Oversee the procurement of environmentally friendly products and services.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of sustainability performance.
• Provide educational resources and training to faculty, staff, and students on sustainable practices.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in sustainability management or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with a master's degree and/or professional certifications in sustainability.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with project management tools and software.
• Knowledge of green building standards and LEED certification.
