Plant Laborer

About the Role

Martin Marietta is seeking a motivated individual to join our team at the Noblesville Stone plant. This position involves operating a variety of equipment and assisting with plant maintenance, production, and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in plant operations including production, quality control, loading, and shipping
• Assist with preventative and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment
• Cross-train in all plant areas
• Learn to operate plant-specific mobile equipment
• Perform daily pre/post-shift inspections on equipment and maintain maintenance logs
• Maintain good housekeeping in areas of responsibility
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent
• 1+ year of related experience
• Willingness to work long hours and weekends as required

Qualifications

• Heavy equipment operations experience
• Welding and/or maintenance experience

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to:

• Stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle tools or controls
• Reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Talk or hear, and taste or smell
• Lift or move up to 50 pounds

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
