Plant Helper - Crane Operator

About the role

Responsible for safe crane operations and transportation of molten metal and processed/finished material.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Hoeganaes safety, quality and environmental policies and procedures.
• Follow job-specific Work Instructions pertaining to the job assignment.
• Operate all crane equipment moving steel and processed/finished material.
• Operate mobile equipment.
• Communicate via two-way radio.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Notify supervision of abnormal conditions.
• Keep logs on all equipment and maintain daily checklists.
• Perform all tasks requested by the Supervisor and/or other management personnel.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2-5 years of previous crane operation experience in an industrial or construction setting is preferred.
• Ability to work overtime on short notice is required.
• Good communication skills – written and verbal.
