About the role
The Plant Health Care Team at SavATree are specialists dedicated to inspecting plant material, identifying problems, and ethically treating or preventing issues such as pests and diseases. This role offers the opportunity to work outside and visit beautiful properties in the community.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the health and well-being of trees and shrubs on a client's landscape within a specific territory.
- Monitor, diagnose, and treat pest and disease infestations on the property.
- Select the most appropriate products or treatments for each problem.
- Interact with clients, providing written diagnostic reports detailing the conditions on their landscape.
- Educate clients about the health of their landscape and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- A degree in Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Plant Pathology, Environmental Sciences, Landscape Management, Turf-grass, or similar experience preferred.
- A desire to grow, a craving for opportunity, and a love for problem-solving and process improvement.
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills to understand and meet client needs.
- A willingness to learn tree/plant identification, how to safely and properly use spray and application equipment, and to complete required trainings to obtain necessary certifications/licenses.
- A valid driver’s license to operate service-line vehicles.
Qualifications
- Willingness to work outdoors.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds frequently.
- Authorization to work lawfully in the U.S.
