Plant Groundman (Asphalt) Moore, OK

About the role

Silver Star Construction, a leading road construction company in Oklahoma, is seeking a dependable Asphalt Plant Groundman to support daily plant operations through equipment maintenance, facility upkeep, and general labor duties to help ensure safe and efficient asphalt production.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on plant equipment
• Operate equipment including skid steers, man lifts, water trucks, haul trucks, and bobcats
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate records
• Assist with housekeeping and general maintenance throughout the asphalt plant
• Support production operations as needed

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with team members
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
• Recognize equipment issues and safety concerns and take appropriate action
• Dependable work ethic and commitment to safety

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Availability for overtime, night shifts, and weekend work when required
• Ability to safely perform physical labor including shoveling, sweeping, and jackhammer operation
