About the role
As part of the Finance team, the Financial Analyst is responsible for accounts payable, payroll and fixed asset maintenance, analysis and reporting in the organization. They will provide reporting and analysis to facilitate critical business decisions based on financial data and support the plant operations through analysis of and by providing actionable information on key performance indicators and trends.
Responsibilities
- Ensure payroll hours are approved and reconciles with the payroll system
- Record payroll journal entries throughout the month and month-end (i.e. taxes, vacation accrual)
- Record account payable accruals and reconciliation during month end closing entries
- Reconcile account payable subledger to general ledger. Identify root cause and resolve differences
- Resolve supplier & vendor account discrepancies
- Record journal entries and reconcile supplier chargeback reserves during month end close
- Work with Quality and Material Departments to ensure that supplier quality chargebacks are timely processed
- Process supplier debit/credit memos and monitor for closure
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
