About the role
The Plant Finance Manager provides financial leadership to the Jackson, MI facility, serving as a business partner and as a change agent to drive plant continuous improvement actions and to achieve overall plant targets. This role is responsible for multiple ledgers and locations that total ~$0.5B of total revenue. This role connects finance processes with operations, providing guidance, drive actions, and financial insights to ensure operational strategies and decisions will lead to the expected results.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial data and performance metrics related to the operations to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Drive accountability for results and define key performance metrics together with business leaders.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support operational decision-making, such as evaluating capital deployment opportunities or new projects.
- Ensure productivity improvements and growth in areas such as operational excellence, continuous improvement, quality and supply chain management.
- Work closely with the operations team to develop action plans, strategies, and initiatives based on financial insights.
- Drive and monitor the implementation of the plans.
- Create financial models to assess the impact of various scenarios on operational performance.
- Identify financial risks within the operations and propose mitigation strategies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to evaluate performance against targets.
- Monitor and manage operational costs to achieve efficiency and cost-reduction while maintaining quality.
- Implement inventory control actions and initiatives to maximize operational profitability while maximizing cash.
- Build organizational capability through successful hiring, talent development, and succession planning in the business.
- Lead the main financial processes for the periodic site forecasts and profit plan.
- Analyze and interpret financial data related to the costs incurred by a company during its operations with the primary objective to provide valuable insights to management, enabling them to make informed decisions regarding cost efficiency, pricing strategies, and overall financial performance.
- Partner with sites to ensure inter/intra company accuracy and alignment for periodic forecast and monthly execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in accounting and/or finance.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience supporting a manufacturing environment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in data analytics.
Pay
The expected annual salary range for this role is $130000 - $190000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
