About the role
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Plant Finance Manager to provide financial leadership to the Williamsburg, VA location.
Responsibilities
- Own the financial picture for operations, looking at sales, purchasing, COGS, and manufacturing results to spot trends, issues, and opportunities to improve performance.
- Support day-to-day and strategic decisions by providing clear financial insights around investments, projects, and operational trade-offs.
- Keep costing accurate and useful, maintaining standard costs and analyzing variances so leaders understand what’s driving margins and where action is needed.
- Oversee cost accounting basics, making sure costs are applied consistently and make sense for how the business actually runs.
- Lead forecasting and planning for the site, including forecasts, annual plans, and updates as business conditions change.
- Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to evaluate performance against targets.
- Monitor COGS performance, helping operations understand results versus plan and where improvements can be made.
- Drive productivity, CAPEX, and working capital efforts, partnering with operations to improve cash flow and overall efficiency.
- Forecast and plan for the site, including leading main financial processes like forecasts and profit plans.
- Manage inventory accuracy, including valuation, physical inventories, cycle counts, and ongoing improvement of inventory controls.
- Watch for financial risks and issues, putting practical controls and fixes in place before problems grow.
- Work closely with operations leaders, translating numbers into clear actions and following through on improvement plans.
- Partner with centralized finance teams, helping navigate finance transformation, process changes, MRP improvements, and system or role transitions.
- Support MRP development for future improvements.
- Support change management process for facility and product improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or other related area from an accredited institution.
- At least 3 years of varied accounting/finance with manufacturing experience.
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution (preferred).

- Computer knowledge: Microsoft office 365 tools, SharePoint, Oracle, ENCORE, prefer PBI, AS400, SAP.
- Knowledge in: Auditing & DR Accounting Principles, dual currency accounting management, cost accounting general knowledge.
Benefits
The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 - $143,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
