Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems
- Perform general electrical maintenance on forklifts and other machinery
- Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices
- Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures
- Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations
- Circuit breaker corrective maintenance
- Work within the SAP system for work order management, time entry, and material requisition
- Collaborate with the team to identify machinery problems and come up with efficient solutions
- Train and mentor apprentices to foster the next generation of electricians
- Adhere to all quality and safety codes
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an electrician with a minimum of 5 years in the field
- Demonstrated experience in the Tech Services industry
- Experience with forklift operations and maintenance
- Proficient in using electrical and manual tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter, etc.)
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight
- Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician
- Valid license to practice the profession
- Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP system
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power generation, blueprints and maintenance and repair
- Proficient in electrical troubleshooting and handling of electrical controls
- Journeyman certification is a must
Pay
$36 - $42 per hour
