About the Role

This position, based in Lenoir City, Tennessee, reports directly to the Hubbell Utility Solutions Specialty Infrastructure Controller. The Plant Controller, Enclosures is responsible for accurate, timely, and transparent financial reporting and ensuring compliance with internal controls over financial reporting for the Enclosures business. This role oversees the monthly closing cycle, maintains a strong controls environment, and collaborates with HUS Group finance and controllership leaders. The position ensures SOX 404 compliance, partners with FP&A and operational teams, supports acquisition integration, and delivers value-added business analysis and financial metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate, timely, and transparent financial reporting in accordance with Hubbell Policies & Procedures, U.S. GAAP, and required timelines.
  • Partner with the local operations team to maintain a strong control environment that meets business demands.
  • Oversee SOX compliance and operational effectiveness of all internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to the local financial reporting teams.
  • Ensure all balance sheet accounts are fully supported and properly reconciled monthly in accordance with company policies.
  • Deliver robust and insightful OneStream-based balance sheet fluctuation analysis.
  • Oversee key reserves (Warranty, E&O, Contra-A/R, inventory shrink, restructuring, etc.), including ongoing assessments of warranty activity and reserves.
  • Manage equipment capitalization, depreciation, and ongoing impairment assessments.
  • Ensure the company adheres to high standards of corporate governance and follows all financial and regulatory requirements of a U.S. public company.
  • Oversee the quality and accuracy of work performed by Hubbell Shared Services (OHF) in support of A/R, Accounting, A/P, T&E, Credit, etc.
  • Partner with IT to ensure all systems impacting financial reporting are SOX 404 compliant (e.g., User access reviews, Segregation of Duties, system configuration).
  • Monitor, control, analyze, and report on all restructuring initiatives, including project economics and savings validation.
  • Support acquisition integration, particularly finance integration initiatives and activities, and ensure SOX 404 compliance for newly acquired businesses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Controllership activity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • SAP, OneStream, and Blackline experience is preferred.
