Plant Controller

About the Role

We are looking for an energetic and passionate Plant Controller to join our team. The Plant Controller will be responsible for their respective plant P&L and financial oversight of the Cincinnati facility. We are specifically targeting candidates with direct Manufacturing Plant Controller experience. Strong preference will be given to candidates who are local.

Responsibilities

• Create and analyze liability, asset, and capital accounts by compiling electronic data and required documentation.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures for financial processes.
• Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances.
• Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement, and changes in financial position/budget variance analysis.
• Summarize and prepare financial status and transaction reports, including profit and loss statements and other necessary reports.
• Guide facility leadership on financial best practices and compliance.
• Focus on tax compliance, state business registration, contract review, and non-profit tax filing.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local legal requirements.
• Assist in the design and preparation of budgets for review by management.
• Provide financial oversight and partnership support for the Cincinnati facility.
• Support other departments and coach facility leadership on financial matters.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience working with intercompany transactions and reconciliation in preparation for audit.
• 3+ years' accounting or finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of tax filing and tax compliance as it pertains to state and federal-level regulations.
• Thorough understanding of financial applications and systems.
• Approximately 25% travel, including monthly travel to the Cincinnati, OH facility. Travel to other manufacturing facilities or customer locations as required.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a leadership role and coach facility leadership on financial matters.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; CMA and/or CPA certification beneficial.

Preferred: Strong financial acumen with demonstrated analytical ability, knowledge of corporate finance, and manufacturing experience.
