This role is open at our Evansville, Indiana facility, part of the Coatings Business within the Meat EUM. The Evansville plant employs over 140 people.
Responsibilities
Partner with all members of the site leadership team to ensure financial performance ownership and identify process improvement and cost reduction opportunities across materials, labor, equipment, indirect purchases, and inventory.
Present plant financial analysis and scorecards to plant and business unit management, emphasizing operational performance linked to SKU and asset productivity and inventory/waste management.
Prepare daily, weekly, and period-end operational performance reports with comments and recommendations for corrective actions.
Support the Plant Manager in monthly presentations of operating results to business unit management and strategic decision-making for the plant.
Responsible for month-end period closing, balance sheet management, accruals, and purchase order reconciliation.
Understand and support the Product Costing Process, ensuring strong process adherence across the plant for metrics like inventory control, risk management, cycle counting accuracy, inventory obsolescence, vendor payment management, and customer billing (AP and AR are centralized).
Report on capital project performance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, participating in "Accelerate" financial management and tracking, regional cost management initiatives, and Kerry Best Practice Implementation.
Participate in Gemba walks and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Accounting or Finance required.
Minimum 4-6 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing facility.
CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification desired but not required.
Proficient knowledge of SAP and accounting systems, and experience with performance-based measurement highly desired.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, good communication, organization, prioritization, and time management.
Experience with long-term strategic planning, investment analysis, acquisitions, capital management, cost management, capital reporting, budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, financial reporting, managing fixed assets, bookkeeping, accounts receivable and accounts payable, intercompany allocations, year-end audits, and technical accounting.
Experience in commercial and manufacturing environments (food, chemical, or pharmaceutical industry) preferred, but not required.

Pay
The hiring pay range for this position is $88,602 - $144,800 in Annual Salary. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
