PLANT CONTRACT MANAGER

Description

This position will be located in the livestock office, responsible for managing supplier contracts for the Worthington facility and assisting buyers with entering and tracking purchases in our computer-based procurement system. This includes monitoring the price paid to suppliers according to the terms of their contract, ensuring suppliers deliver the correct quantity and quality of swine specified in the contract, and ensuring good communication between the Procurement team and suppliers to minimize supply chain interruptions.

Other various daily tasks may include daily counts, costs, and pricing. Other relevant tasks, as assigned by the manager.

Working Conditions

Production and maintenance settings. Exposure to various chemicals, machinery, and knives. Slippery floors, cold temperatures, and loud ambient noise.

Requirements

• Communicate written and verbally in English
• Work all 3 shifts as needed
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Self-motivated with a high sense of urgency
• Able to make decisions and perform under high stress situations
• Work 40+ hours per week in office areas (some overtime may be required)

Education Requirements

• Minimum of an Associates Degree in an agricultural-related field
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years procurement experience, production scheduling experience, business analyst experience, or ag sales experience
