Duties
- Travel directly to your route in uniform with equipment (mileage paid from your first to last account).
- Routes may cover a wide geographic area. At larger accounts, some equipment is stored on site.
- Most Botanicus accounts are serviced under a replacement warranty, ensuring top-quality plant care.
What to Expect
- Caring for plants is rewarding—but it’s also physical! In a typical day, technicians may:
- Carry up to 100 gallons of water
- Spend hours on their feet, walking throughout client spaces
- Get hands-on (and sometimes a little dirty!) while keeping plants thriving
- Communicate with all levels of client staff. Problem solving happily, for best plant environments and access challenges.
Training & Growth
- We invest deeply in our technicians through a comprehensive training program that includes:
- On-the-job training with experienced technicians and senior horticulturists
- Classes and workshops at our warehouse
- Detailed manuals, reading materials, and ongoing study
- Regular “Plantmaster” meetings for continued learning
Hours & Benefits
- Schedule & Hours: Flexible scheduling based on mutual needs
- Most work is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm
- Typically 20–35 hours per week (4–8 hour shifts, 3–4 days a week)
- Routes serviced every 2–3 weeks on a regular schedule
- Technicians coordinate coverage for vacations, holidays, and emergencies
Compensation & Incentives
- Starting pay: $20.00/hour
- Periodic bonuses based on profitability and performance

Requirements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation to travel between accounts
- No prior horticulture experience required—just bring an interest in plants!
- Able to pass a physical exam (see list of physical requirements)
- Must complete a basic background check and drug test
