Plant Associate

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor and based in Shreveport, Louisiana, the Plant Associate provides critical support to overall operations and production.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload raw materials and finished products from tanker trucks and rail cars
• Load and unload materials in drums, totes, kegs, and other containers
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, ensuring equipment and area are in optimal condition
• Diligent use of PPE at all times
• Provide forklift support to all production areas of the plant
• Other duties as assigned by the management team

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/production environment
• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Ability to drive a forklift
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds from the floor to waist level regularly
• Ability to push/pull 100 pounds with or without assistance
• Ability to regularly walk briskly across large expanses

Work Conditions

• Field-based, outdoor warehouse/plant environment
• Exposure to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, confined spaces, and risk of electrical shock
• Subject to all temperatures and weather conditions
• Moderate noise level in the work environment

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. This is a non-exempt position, eligible for overtime.
