Plant Associate
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor and based in Shreveport, Louisiana, the Plant Associate provides critical support to overall operations and production.
Responsibilities
- Load/unload raw materials and finished products from tanker trucks and rail cars
- Load and unload materials in drums, totes, kegs, and other containers
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, ensuring equipment and area are in optimal condition
- Diligent use of PPE at all times
- Provide forklift support to all production areas of the plant
- Other duties as assigned by the management team
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/production environment
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Ability to drive a forklift
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds from the floor to waist level regularly
- Ability to push/pull 100 pounds with or without assistance
- Ability to regularly walk briskly across large expanses
Work Conditions
- Field-based, outdoor warehouse/plant environment
- Exposure to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, confined spaces, and risk of electrical shock
- Subject to all temperatures and weather conditions
- Moderate noise level in the work environment
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. This is a non-exempt position, eligible for overtime.
