About the Role
Responsible for completing production work in a timely manner with acceptable quality.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area in compliance with OSHA requirements and Plant 1’s safety committee's regulations.
- Maintain production levels as governed by set norms; report progress, non-progress, and/or problems to the Shift/Area Supervisor.
- Maintain all machines and tools in designated work area in a neat and clean condition; report any malfunctions to the Shift/Area Supervisor.
- Perform work according to established written procedures and complete written documentation.
- Report to work area promptly at the start of scheduled shift; return from breaks and lunch periods on time.
- Keep supervisor advised of tools, equipment, and/or material needs to ensure timely completion of scheduled production.
- Report and fill out all accident reports on personal accidents and submit in a timely manner to the Shift/Area Supervisor.
- Notify supervisor within thirty minutes of the beginning of the shift if unable to attend work.
- Ensure through first piece inspection with Q.C. that all jobs are set up accurately.
- Perform tenth piece inspections on all work performed in assigned production area of the plant.
- Monitor quality to ensure product being run is of acceptable quality at all times; notify Shift/Area Supervisor if quality is sub-standard.
- Personal productivity expectation is 65% of established norms with 100% quality.
- May be required to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and, if required, lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Additional hours if needed are mandatory; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- All other duties as deemed necessary.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in manufacturing processes is preferred.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties.
- Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds; may lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Use of tools and equipment including pneumatic nail guns (weight up to 20lb), air ratchets, impact wrenches, air sanders, pneumatic screwdrivers, hand routers, banding tensioners, pry bars, hammers, table saws, miter saws, gang saws, band saws, and presses.
