About the role

The Visual Inspector will inspect tires from the curing presses, verifying each tire is free of basic anomalies, making small repairs or corrections, and directing tires to the correct palletizing conveyor. Responsibilities include:

• Inspecting the outside of all white sidewall tires to determine acceptability in accordance with company quality standards.
• Following standard practices to maintain quality and quantity production while adhering to plant safety, environmental, and operational policies.
• Logging into the system and passing tires (both acceptable and irregular) to the next process while maintaining an even production flow.
• Notifying supervisors immediately of major breakdowns and performing minor resets associated with the white sidewall protective paint application process.
• Performing minor rework of sidewall dust or unpainted tires.
• Ensuring all Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) procedures, policies, and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.
• Performing other duties as directed by supervisors or department managers.

Work is performed in a non-climate-controlled environment with exposure to temperature swings, forklift and pedestrian traffic, noise, and high heat. The role involves physical tasks such as lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and operating machinery, with comprehensive training provided.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available for this role).

Pay

The starting annual salary for this role is $52,269, based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

Schedule

New hires will likely be placed on a shift that includes evenings and weekends.
