Planning Scheduling Manager
About the role
Join our dynamic team as a Planning Scheduling Manager at our facility located in Mount Vernon, Indiana. In this pivotal role, you will provide exceptional forecasting and planning services for our products. As a key player, you will manage all aspects of the Planning and Scheduling department, ensuring that all activities align with customer contract requirements and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate a facility-wide planning and scheduling program to maximize the utilization of resources to successfully meet scheduled deliveries.
- Supervise Planners, Schedulers and their assigned projects.
- Lead multi-discipline meetings and schedule, decisions may be based on varied and often conflicting information, objectives, and opinions.
- Establish and ensure execution of scheduled tasks, priorities, assignments to confirm that schedule is met.
- Measure control progress and institute proper status reporting procedures.
- Develop recordkeeping, document controls and filing systems to keep information organized, accurate and accessible.
- Serve as the liaison with management, other departments, and other facilities to effectively plan and schedule.
- Maintain workflow to ensure all manufacturing plans are maintained in a consistent fashion while identifying resource constraints that may jeopardize commitments then develop solutions to overcome the restraints.
- Ensure requirements are communicated to all departments and work with the various managers to make sure the requirements are met.
- Oversee and report on the performance of the work using SAP and various other software programs.
- Identify critical path hardware and assist stakeholders with handling resources and tasks to meet the schedule.
- Prepare and distribute detailed reports as needed in a timely and regular manner.
- Review plant operations and recommend changes that will improve safety, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
- Prepare an annual budget for production control activities and review the department’s performance and effectiveness against the budget.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of production control activities.
- Formulate and specify delivery promises for customer orders and maintain performance records with respect to delivery promises.
- Coordinate and control the requisitioning, expediting, usage and reporting of all raw materials, subcontract parts and purchased complete new hardware.
- Coordinate the manufacturing and inspection hour loads for forecasting purposes.
- Oversight of Inventory Control and Shipping/Receiving departments and personnel.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree and 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience or a technical degree and 7 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
- Specifically require planning and scheduling experience.
- Proficient with scheduling software, specifically Primavera P6, is preferred.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple priorities among various departments and personnel.
- Excellent communications skills; written, verbal and interpersonal.
- Well organized.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOE Clearance.

Pay
$99,000.00 - $157,000.00 The base salary range for this position in Indiana (US-IN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $99,000.00 and $157,000.00 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
