Planning Manager/Master Scheduler

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and manage a build plan to support our customer commitments. The plan will include a mix of internally manufactured items as well as those within the supply chain.
• Load and manage product and customer forecasts.
• Ensure Sales and Product Managers provide timely inputs for ongoing sales as well as new product introductions.
• Ensure build plan is executed to deliver on customer commitments. Identify and escalate gaps in the build plan and coordinate customer response and recovery.
• Review capacity and build requirements internally and with suppliers to assure utilization and attainment of build plan.
• Develop, monitor and optimize supply chain programs to execute to customer lead-time expectations.
• Delivers performance within established KPIs such as forecast accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Analyze and report manufacturing capacities for use in predicting labor needs and schedule issues.
• Train, develop, and evaluate employees.
• Adheres to drives accuracy of quality system standards pertaining to the job.
• Participates as a member of the Manufacturing management team.
• Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations management, business administration, or related field preferred, equivalent experience considered.
• Experience with ERP systems
• Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to collaborate and lead cross-functionally
• Very strong problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience leading continuous improvement efforts within production planning and scheduling processes
• Demonstrated skills using MS Office Suite applications, especially Excel.
