Business/Function Overview Kelly Outsourcing Consulting Group Kelly OCG, a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Planner/Scheduler at one of our Global clients in Newark, DE. As a Planner/Scheduler placed with Kelly OCG you will be responsible for the following: The purpose of this position is to provide all craft and maintenance services. The Planner/Scheduler ensures the efficient use of resources and the timely completion of work by using a variety of tools to prioritize, procure materials, plan, schedule, and audit the work. Additional responsibilities include maintenance coordination of HVAC, Steam Systems, Electrical, Facility infrastructure, DI water, building vacuum systems, and all aspects of Facility Maintenance. Coordination with site Shutdown Coordinator for building and site maintenance shutdowns. The Planner/Scheduler often serves as a liaison between clients and the services organization, The incumbent will plan and schedule for the maintenance and other functional personnel supporting Stine Research Center. Maintain high standards of safety, maintenance, quality, productivity, cost and organizational effectiveness Responsibilities Key responsibilities include but are limited to the following: Receives and reviews work requests for completeness and accuracy, working with requesters and Mechanic(s)/Technicians to ensure job content/scope and required materials are defined Decides if work will be handled by internal/external work crew or another service provider Determines job priorities and establishes appropriate completion dates based on available resources, material and client timing requirements Develops detailed job plans with resources needed to complete work including any drawings/sketches for work task. Utilize the current work schedule to populate work when materials are received according to work order priority Shares responsibility with First Line Supervisor and mechanics/technicians for ensuring adequate job plans and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) are available Directly involved in the procurement process; ordering materials, authorizing purchases, receiving, follow-up, etc. Ensures appropriate permits, drawings and special tools are secured and available when necessary and identified in the job plan. Develops Bill of Materials (BOMs) for each piece of equipment/functional location for future use Periodically reviews Job Plans (JPs) for accuracy, modifying as needed Develops and or assigns daily work to be performed by Mechanics/Technicians Manages work schedules, will adjust schedule according to priority changes or emergency requests Routinely reviews work backlogs to ensure timely scheduling of requested work and to balance work loads Works with Site Shutdown coordinator, ensuring work orders, parts are procured prior to Shutdown. Works with Team understanding Site Shutdowns, planning priority for work orders Routinely assesses progress of on-going work Keeps First Line Supervisor abreast of significant changes in workload, or schedule changes and work force requirement needs. Assists the mechanics in providing “as built” and other pertinent information to the Facility Leads for updating area/equipment prints and other documentation Periodically reviews Predictive, Preventive Maintenance (PPM) job plans, Bill of Materials (BOM), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and other documents to verify accuracy and update as necessary; may be responsible for writing new PPM job plans, SOP’s and JHA’s. Qualifications Prior Planning/Scheduling experience required.
