ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and update detailed maintenance plans and schedules for all maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams and operations to ensure timely execution of maintenance activities.
- Monitor and report on maintenance KPI's and costs, including leading and lagging metrics.
- Manage minor capital projects related to site infrastructure.
- Analyze equipment performance data and maintenance history to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
- Develop and maintain preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance procedures.
- Manage spare parts inventory and support procurement for maintenance activities.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to maintenance plans, work orders, and equipment records.
- Execute strategies for improving maintenance performance, including training and PM development.
- Assist with budgeting for the maintenance department and monitor maintenance costs.
- Initiate and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on chronic or high-risk failures.
- Participate in risk assessment activities as required.
- Manage the IFS CMMS, including Master Data entry and Maintenance Work Order System monitoring.
- Lead by example in adhering to rules and regulations and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Communicate effectively with the Maintenance Foreman and participate in safety and environmental activities.
- Supervise contract and temporary hire employees as required.
- Follow and understand MSHA rules, environmental regulations, and SOPs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Planning or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a maintenance planning role.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance.
- Experience in manufacturing, utilities, or heavy industrial environments preferred.
- Prior experience in underground mining environments preferred.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), especially IFS, required.
- Proven experience in maintenance planning or scheduling, particularly with electrical systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical equipment, systems, and maintenance best practices.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements related to electrical maintenance.
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies and data analysis tools.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
