Overview

This role contributes to planning and scheduling processes within the Planner Coordinator job family. Employees in this role contribute to the development of field crew work procedures and/or related asset and equipment documentation used by others to plan, execute, and maintain District assets and systems over the full life cycle of the asset. Maintain accurate and complete asset records and contribute to development of project work schedules. Coordinate with subject matter experts including craft workers, vendors, contractors, engineers, biologists, etc. to develop job plans and preventative maintenance plans for low complexity District assets. Monitor work or project plan accuracy. Facilitate workforce and/or contractor coordination, scheduling, and implementation of preventative and corrective maintenance activities. Assist with resource estimation and acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Develop job plans and preventative maintenance plans.
  • Contribute to the development of maintenance work packets for apprentices and other skilled trade crews and/or contractors.
  • Assist subject matter experts to develop safe, compliant, and efficient work procedures for lower complexity projects or components of a more complex project.
  • Develop simple resource estimates in coordination with engineers, management, or other subject matter experts.
  • Conduct research and recommend maintenance intervals and activities.
  • Enter accurate and complete maintenance tasks and records into District systems.
  • Perform peer review of existing records and update as needed.
  • Facilitate the execution of job plans and preventative maintenance plans.
  • Develop basic construction or maintenance work activity or project schedules.
  • Cookordinate with a variety of staff and management to determine the sequence of work and maintain the schedule in automated systems.
  • Cookordinate the acquisition of resources (labor, materials, tools, vehicles, etc.) and monitor delivery in accordance with project schedules.
  • Purchase materials or supplies, as needed, to remain on time and on budget.
  • Maintain the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) asset records and attributes.
  • Populate asset specifications.
  • Identify compliance requirements.
  • Update or create related records, procedures, or work instructions upon project completion.
  • Contribute to small or mid-level project planning and delivery by assisting with the development of resource estimates and assisting in coordinating the acquisition of those resources.
  • Participate in the implementation of process changes, new standards, and system updates.
  • Generate routine reports as needed to support business decision making.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance: Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Comply with District policies.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Maintain a working knowledge and comply with District safety procedures and specific safety requirements of this position, and those in accordance with applicable provisions of the Revised Code of Laws.
