ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, capacity constraints, and material availability.
- Monitor production performance and adjust schedules as necessary to address equipment downtime, labor constraints, material shortages, or changing customer requirements.
- Cookordination schedule changes with production, operations, and customer service teams.
- Analyze capacity requirements and identify bottlenecks that may impact production throughput.
- Ensure accurate planning parameters such as lead times, pricing, and procurement data are maintained within the ERP/MRP system.
- Plan and procure raw materials, components, and indirect materials required to support production schedules and plant needs.
- Create and manage purchase orders and expedite deliveries when necessary.
- Monitor supplier performance related to quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve shortages, quality concerns, and delivery issues.
- Support supplier negotiations and sourcing initiatives as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels, identify excess and obsolete inventory, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct inventory analysis and recommend stocking levels and reorder parameters.
- Communicate material shortages, production risks, and recovery plans to leadership team.
- Support new product introductions and engineering change management activities.
- Develop and maintain reports, KPIs, and dashboards to support decision-making.
- Perform weekly review of open manufacturing orders and perform clean up and maintenance to ensure accurate manufacturing order data in ERP / MRP system.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Operations Management, Business, Engineering or related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- 3+ years of experience in production planning, purchasing, scheduling, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and have a strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
- Thorough knowledge of purchasing principles including the ability to research, analyze, negotiate, and close various types of purchase efforts within the guidelines of good business and ethical practices.
- Proactive and the ability to work with little supervision.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Working knowledge of demand planning, capacity planning, and supplier management.
- Able to interpret forecasts and convert demand into executable production and procurement plans.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
