About the Role
Yard planning of all inbound/outbound containers/cargoes in an effective manner for maximum yard utilization. Liaise with agents/affiliates regarding all data and all other requirements needs. Ensure that all requirements are fulfilled prior to arrival/dispatch of a truck.

- Ability to work independently and have the drive to take the initiative if direct supervision is not available on a constant basis

- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to efficiently manage workload
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-intensity environment
- Proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
- Ability to learn new software systems and tasks quickly
- Ability to interact effectively at multiple levels in support of customer relationships
- Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of said PPE
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Fluent English
Job Tasks
- Liaise with Dispatch Clerks, Inventory, Outbound Supervisor and Drivers
- Liaise with stakeholders in container drayage and export, such as but not limited to Shipping Lines, Freight Forwarder, Port, Empty Depots
- Liaise with Customer Supply Chain and Marketing Departments
- Plan all transport operations
- Monitor and report operational performance
- Report activities to client and higher management
- Control the costs and organise invoicing of services
- Monitor and maintain the KPI for the Drayage operations
- Other duties as determined by management
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 2 years' experience in comparable role
- Knowledge of petrochemical industry and processes
- Knowledge of drayage business and processes in Houston area, ideally good contacts at Port of Houston and Rail Terminals
- Ideally, experience in logistic operations
- Experience with SAP, preferred
