PLANNER
About the role
We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Planner to join our dynamic team. This role involves efficiently coordinating and planning poling activities, while liaising with clients, partners, and poling operatives to ensure smooth operations and meet expectations in the market. Our client Openreach has the largest telecom infrastructure in the UK. Our department works closely with Openreach to help design, maintain, and build this network by providing and replacing telegraph poles.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (37.5 hours per week).

Responsibilities
- Plan day-to-day activities for poling gangs, including the request of permits, traffic management, and third-party joint site meetings.
- Ensure work is executed on the day and systems are updated accordingly.
- Keep management and external clients informed of project progress.
- Attend and lead calls/meetings with partners and customers.
- Ensure additional costs are captured before progressing to the commercial team.
Requirements
- Planning and scheduling of engineering resources.
- Understanding of streetworks and permitting.
- Previous experience working on the Openreach network (advantageous but not essential).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong administration and organisation skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage business expectations.
- Strong orientation toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Adaptable and flexible approach to work.
- Strong IT skills (experience with Microsoft applications preferred).
