Planned Maintenance Technician

We serve world-class events lasting a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities relying on us for decades. You’ll be based out of our Chicago (Lemont), IL service center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle. You’ll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, Chillers, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors
- Work with local travel daily in your company vehicle
- Handle the repairs of equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations
- Set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites
Requirements
- High School diploma/GED
- 2+ years of experience working on diesel power/natural gas generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, chillers, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs
- Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematic
- Based on customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.
Qualifications
- Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts
- Able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
- Able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level
- Able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat

Pay
Pay Range $25 to $30 an hour
Annual bonus program
