Plan Administrator
Job Summary
Newport, an Ascensus company, seeks a NQ Plan Administrator to join the client services team. This role involves implementing, tracking, monitoring, and maintaining client non-qualified benefit plan accounts, fund investments, and distributions. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining a deep understanding of workflow processes, facilitating daily transactions with the Trustee and trading desk, and serving as the initial escalation point for participant call center inquiries.
Essential Functions
- Implement, track, monitor, and maintain client non-qualified benefit plan accounts, fund investments, and distributions.
- Develop and maintain a full understanding of day-to-day workflow processes required for client plans assigned.
- Facilitate daily transactional activity with the Trustee and trading desk.
- Serve as the initial escalation point for participant call center inquiries, responding in accordance with published standards while acting as a liaison with the client and Newport to ensure accuracy of plan recordkeeping and data.

Required Education, Experience And Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent industry experience.
- 2+ years’ experience working in a related position in the retirement services sector.
- Strong MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate consistent performance.
Preferred (but not required)
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts using current spreadsheet and accounting database software programs.

Salary Range
The national average salary range for this role is $55-70k in base pay, exclusive of any bonuses and benefits. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salary offered will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, performance, and internal pay alignment. We do not anticipate that candidates hired will begin at the top of the range however, from time to case-by-case basis.
