Why This Role Matters

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Placements Broker with 3-5 years' experience placing insurance risks for small businesses. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced insurance professional to join a dynamic and client-focused team. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience working with Cyber Liability, Professional Liability (E&O), and Management Liability (D&O, EPLI, Fiduciary), and Commercial (GL, BOP, etc.) insurance products. This role involves developing tailored solutions for clients and working closely with underwriters to secure the most competitive and comprehensive coverage available.

Responsibilities

• Place all lines of business (Cyber, Professional Liability, Management Liability, GL, etc.) for clients
• Support Sales and Client Managers by analyzing client needs and exposures to develop placement strategies that align with their risk profile
• Draft and submit submissions to underwriters and negotiate terms and pricing on behalf of clients
• Review quotes, binders, and policies for accuracy and completeness
• Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and underwriters
• Stay current on market trends, carrier appetite, and coverage developments within the relevant product lines
• Collaborate with sales executives and client service teams to ensure seamless handoff and servicing of accounts
• Provide guidance to clients on coverage options and risk management strategies

Requirements

• 1-3 years of insurance industry experience, preferably in a brokerage or underwriting environment
• Demonstrated experience placing or supporting the placement of Cyber Liability, Professional Liability, Management Liability, and P&C (GL, BOP, etc.) policies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex coverage concepts clearly
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with insurance brokerage management systems and Google Suite
• Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license

Nice to Have

• Enterprise, SaaS, AI, and Professional Services experience and interest
• Exposure to and passion for early-stage startups and/or high-growth environments
• Experience working in a fast-paced brokerage environment
• Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail

Work Environment

Vouch has employees located across the U.S., with offices in San Francisco, Chicago, and New York City. This role can be aligned to any of our offices. While this role has hybrid work flexibility, we require team members to be in the office at least three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) to foster close collaboration and team building.

Pay

The base salary for this role varies by location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a 15% variable annual bonus.

• San Francisco & New York: $90,000 - $112,000
• Chicago: $84,000 - $100,000

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry and are part of our total compensation package, which also includes benefits and other perks. We also include stock options in all compensation packages. Individual pay decisions are based on qualifications for the role, experience level, skill set, location, and business need.

Schedule

Hybrid work flexibility with a requirement to be in the office at least three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
