Placements

Due to operational demands and issues of patient confidentiality and safety, all types of placements within the Scottish Ambulance Service can only be possible if they are for research, training, and assessment purposes. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate requests for purposes of general interest.

We are unable to accommodate work experience for candidates who wish to apply for the role of Ambulance Technician. It would not be operationally feasible to offer this opportunity to all applicants and therefore, to ensure fairness and consistency, we do not offer this option.
