Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute key components of the new business and renewal processes for insurance accounts, including overseeing timelines, conducting exposure analysis, preparing quote specifications, negotiating coverage terms, and presenting comprehensive proposals to clients.
  • Communicate effectively within the team environment, including Client Advisors, Account Service Teams, and carrier partners.
  • Review insurance policies and contracts and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare property and casualty insurance submissions for new business prospects and renewing accounts, including insurance specifications, Acord applications, loss summaries, prospect profiles, and exposure schedules.
  • Analyze Excel spreadsheets of prospect client exposure and/or loss data, and develop financial models of loss-sensitive programs when necessary.
  • Maintain familiarity and working relationships with various insurance companies and wholesalers.
  • Handle confidential and non-routine information.
  • Use carrier systems and comparative rating tools to assist in the quoting and proposal development process.
  • Abide by and maintain all licensing requirements, including continuing education.
  • Attend seminars, company meetings, carrier events, and educational activities to improve job expertise and product knowledge.
  • Perform coverage gap analysis and deliver strategic coverage recommendations tailored to each client’s specific risk profile.
  • Work independently and within a team on special, nonrecurring, and ongoing projects.
  • Identify opportunities to engage Risk Resources for specialized expertise and partner with them to deliver tailored solutions for complex client needs.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant insurance experience required, with an emphasis on middle to large market placements.
  • Excellent phone etiquette, written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and accept direction on given assignments.
  • Proficient with MS Office Products, with a high knowledge of Excel and Word; experience with Epic is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure document accuracy.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment with strong customer service skills.
  • Experience with a broker/agent, including marketing large middle-market accounts to carriers; excellent knowledge of the markets.
  • Strong knowledge of all basic applicable insurance coverages.
  • Proficient in creating proposal presentation documents.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Must currently hold an applicable insurance license.
  • Pursuit of a professional designation (CRM, CISR, CIC, AAI, ARM, CPCU) preferred.

Pay

The base compensation range for this position is $55,000 - $75,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.
