PKI Engineer
About the role
The senior engineer role drives solution development and implementation activities to provide PKI related services to the business across a large set of digital certificate use cases. The role is aligned to technologies including Microsoft's Active Directory Certificate Services, Network Device Enrollment Services (NDES), Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP), Thales Hardware Security Modules (HSM), Venafi Trust Protection Platform, and Intune certificate connectors.
Responsibilities
- Partner with all stakeholders and external vendors to develop, deploy, and support the best possible solution to meet EY business needs.
- Develop technical and functional solutions that integrate with business processes.
- Document solution installation and configuration guides and operational procedures.
- Document thorough test plans and provide detailed and summary reports of results.
Requirements
- A deep understanding of digital certificate lifecycle management functions and broad experience with different certificate types and uses.
- A broad understanding of the available PKI vendors and technologies offering technical solutions in the market.
- Knowledge and experience with cryptographic protocols, services, and standards.
- Ability to collect, refine, and analyze business requirements and develop innovative solutions.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

Compensation ranges are provided in order to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines, which may not be a direct conversion of published US salary ranges. EY offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package including medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
Pay
The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $128,100 to $239,600. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $153,800 to $272,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
Schedule
Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
