PitProduction Loader

Responsibilities

• Champion Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
• Operate Mobile Equipment Loaders. Operate mobile equipment loaders to load aggregates for processing, feed the plant, and safely load customers’ trucks with desired specification product within legal load limits.
• Operate a Loader. Operate a loader to strip and prep the mining site and push material closer to the feeder for processing.
• Maintain Stockpiles. Maintain an adequate feed of materials and maintain stockpiles.
• Inspect Materials. Visually inspect materials for compliance with specifications.
• Perform Inspections and Maintenance. Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and accurately complete daily mobile equipment reports. Observe the plant and report any necessary maintenance or adjustments that may be required.
• Clean Yard and Plant Areas. Clean yard and plant areas.
• Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings. Monitor the plant and operations and report any necessary maintenance or adjustments that may be required to ensure safety.

Requirements

• Must be able to work required overtime and flexible work schedule.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule and customer needs require.
• Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time; grip, climb, reach, shovel, squat, crawl, or pull, push, as well as, bend and lift 45 pounds.
• Must be able to speak, read, and have a working knowledge of the English language.

Skills

• Experience Heavy equipment operator experience is preferred.
• Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities. Comply with all SHE and other company policies, procedures and requirements. Follow established traffic patterns avoiding road hazards and other hazardous conditions. Perform duties safely, responsibly, and proficiently, observing all safety and health rules. Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
