About the role
This is a permanent, full-time position providing daily supervision, coordinating field activities, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a culture of safety and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Safety is our #1 priority. Ensure everyone is working in a safe manner and always wearing appropriate PPE.
- Coordinate daily work activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Perform layout, installation oversight, and quality control of commercial piping systems.
- Plan manpower, materials, tools, and equipment required for assigned work.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, timekeeping records, and project documentation.
- Train, mentor, and develop journeymen and apprentices.
- Coincordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, General Contractors, and other trades to resolve field issues.
- Inspect work to ensure compliance with contract requirements, company standards, and applicable codes.
- Support project startup, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of commercial piping and/or welding installation.
- Prior experience Foreman experience is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Working knowledge of applicable mechanical and building codes.
- Valid driver's license required.
Qualifications
- You Need To Be Able To Keep It A Drug-Free Workplace.
- Be punctual and reliable.
- Work in extremes of heat, cold and bad weather, indoors and outdoors.
- Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry up to 60 lbs.
- Work efficiently in confined spaces.
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions that directly impact the project.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to reach above shoulders, crawl, squat, kneel, bend.
Skills
- Commercial piping and/or welding installation experience.
- Foreman experience.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Knowledge of applicable mechanical and building codes.
