Piping Engineering Intern - FY2027

Responsibilities

• Provide system design calculations and related design services.
• Coordinate designs with other trades (architectural and engineering).
• Work under the guidance of Professional Engineers and Design Leads.
• Help deliver and complete challenging and engaging projects.
• Take ownership of the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of assigned work.
• Progress from basic design assignments to more complicated projects in conjunction with a technical team.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Desire to design building mechanical systems, including Process & Mechanical Piping, for buildings and facilities.
• 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Working knowledge in Revit and 3D CADD.
• Previous internship experience with a design firm or similar setting.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
• Self‑driven time management and organizational skills.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $47,300.00 to $61,000.00; pay is hourly based on hours worked. Individual pay within the range is determined by work location and additional factors such as job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Schedule

Hybrid working policy allows splitting the work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
