Piping Designer
About the role
Generates 3D piping and equipment models under direct supervision. Occasionally provides verbal input during model reviews. Drafts P&IDs from a set of redlines using company/client drafting guidelines. Generates project deliverables (isometrics, piping plans, plot plans, MTO’s) and reviews prior to submitting for checking.
Responsibilities

- Generates project deliverables (isometrics, piping plans, plot plans, MTO's) and reviews prior to submitting for checking.
- Operational knowledge of spreadsheet and database programs.
- Proficient in current engineering design and drafting software packages.
- Constantly required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently moving about to accomplish tasks.
Requirements
- High school diploma and post-secondary training preferred.
- Minimum 2-6 years’ experience in design, drafting and modeling.
- Experience in design, drafting and modeling.
- Oil and Gas experience including refineries and gas processing.
- Constantly required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently moving about to accomplish tasks.
- Specific vision abilities required by this classification include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing abilities required by this classification includes those which permit the employee to discern verbal instructions and communicate effectively in person and by telephone.
- Requires composure and ability to prioritize and manage several urgent tasks and requests simultaneously with a prominent level of competence and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of pipe specifications and materials through knowledge of ASTM and ASME codes and standards.
- Basic understanding of process flow through facilities, including well pads, compressor stations, dehy units, gas processing, SWDs and refineries.
Skills
- AutoCAD 3D design, CADWorx a plus.

Pay
Position: Full-time, exempt.
Schedule
Work Location: 5620 Ward Rd. Suite 200 Arvada, CO 80002
This position offers the flexibility to have a hybrid in-office work schedule.
Travel: Less than 15%
