Piping Designer

Responsibilities

• Perform or ensure all necessary drafting efforts completed to standards to prepare 2D drawings and deliverables.
• Update, support and maintain Piping tracking tools: Line list, manual valve, specialty item and tie point lists.
• Has the ability to read P&ID’s and interpret the necessary data.
• May assist with field work at client sites to gather information needed for drawing creation or modification.
• Generate CAD drawings (orthographic, plans & sections, and isometrics) to support other Designers.
• Develop piping plant modelling using applicable standards, project technical specifications and project procedures.
• Create 3D models in an integrated CAD environment.
• Generate General Arrangement drawings of piping and plant layouts from the 3D model as required by the project.
• Generate piping isometric drawings from the 3D model as required by the project.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma
• A 2-year technical degree preferred
