PIPING DESIGNER – CHANDLER

About the Role

This position is within our Mechanical Department, focusing on the design of piping systems.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a Mechanical Engineer.
• Develop and maintain accurate 3D models and drawings of mechanical piping systems using Plant 3D, Revit, and Navisworks, applying engineering principles to design piping systems for process facilities.
• Create piping isometrics, define pipeline materials of construction, review and input into P&IDs, and select pumps/pipeline components.
• Meet project deadlines for modeling and document deliverables in alignment with overall project schedules.
• Learn and engage in various aspects of mechanical engineering, including new technologies.
• Enhance proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, and Navisworks software.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree, trade school certification, technical certification, or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Collaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Self-starter with exceptional organizational, detail-oriented, and communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with clients and co-workers in a team environment with limited supervision.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally to M3 offices and project sites for field support.
• Valid passport or the ability to obtain one.

Preferred Skills

• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Vision and creativity.
• Working knowledge and experience using 3D modeling software such as Plant 3D, Revit, and MS Office.
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards, such as API, NACE, HI, ANSI, and NFPA.
