Pipewelder - RTP

Responsibilities

• Weld in different environments where mechanical piping installation is performed.
• Weld in various positions following safety-oriented procedures.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment and attire.
• Achieve 100% weld quality in all positions.
• Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products.
• Install and repair various equipment and components.
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications.
• Calculate material measurements to verify specifications.
• Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields.
• Familiarity with welding tools and procedures.
• Familiarity with engineering blueprints and schematics.
• Certification tests on Carbon Steel Schedule 40 Pipe, open root joint, in the 6G, fixed position, meeting ASME Sec IX Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code requirements.
• Proficiency in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
• Ability to work in varying heat and cold conditions and tolerate noise levels at or above 90 decibels.
• Completion of courses in construction safety.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of Pipe Welding experience.
