Responsibilities
- Weld in different environments where mechanical piping installation is performed.
- Weld in various positions following safety-oriented procedures.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and attire.
- Achieve 100% weld quality in all positions.
- Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products.
- Install and repair various equipment and components.
- Follow blueprints to meet product specifications.
- Calculate material measurements to verify specifications.
- Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields.
- Familiarity with welding tools and procedures.
- Familiarity with engineering blueprints and schematics.
- Certification tests on Carbon Steel Schedule 40 Pipe, open root joint, in the 6G, fixed position, meeting ASME Sec IX Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code requirements.
- Proficiency in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
- Ability to work in varying heat and cold conditions and tolerate noise levels at or above 90 decibels.
- Completion of courses in construction safety.
- Ability to handle physical workload.
- Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
- Minimum of five (5) years of Pipe Welding experience.
