About the role
The Pipelines Team Lead position at HDR is a leadership role aimed at growing the Pipelines team in Kansas City. This role supports the Mo/KAN Pump Stations/Pipelines Business Class Lead and works with the Water Business Group Management Team on technical and business development strategies.
Responsibilities
- Pursue and secure opportunities with new and existing clients
- Mentor staff
- Deliver projects
- Grow the business portfolio
- Lead teams in planning and design of pump stations and/or pipelines projects
- Support condition assessment, asset management, and master planning efforts
- Advance business development strategies
- Manage client relationships and projects
- Oversee development and direction of key Business Class staff
Requirements
- Expertise in both pump stations and pipelines
- Leadership and project management skills
- Technical background and experience in designing pipelines and collection and pipeline systems
- Business development and strategic planning skills
- Project leadership and technical input skills
- Ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Condition assessment experience
- MS in Engineering or PMP Certification
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 7 years related experience
- Minimum 2 years project management experience
- Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license
- MS Office and MS Project experience
- Demonstrated leadership skills
